About this deal

A: To use Horse Manure, also known as horse compost, as fertiliser, first compost it by mixing it with other organic materials like straw or leaves in a compost pile. For giant builders bags, premises must have driveway access or be suitable for offloading by 3 metre lorry crane (please note the weight of the bag will determine how far the crane will reach - in wetter weather, these bags can be much heavier). We will not be liable to you in respect of any losses arising out of events beyond our reasonable control. For general use, we recommend spreading a 50mm layer of horse manure over the area to be treated, before forking or rotating into the soil.

I have a new garden following building work which has left the soil very mixed with some very poor areas and some better soil. Once it has decomposed and turned into rich, dark compost, spread it evenly over your garden beds or mix it into the soil to provide nutrients and improve soil structure. Recommended rate of use - For general soil improvement a 50mm layer should be spread over the area to be treated, then forked or rotovated in . The Bun-Bag horse manure catcher is small and carries droppings securely in a bag that hides sight and smell.

Our Garden Manure, derived from the finest farmyard and horse manure, is packed with essential nutrients. Clopyralid which makes it on nigh impossible to guarantee there is no history of herbicide use from neighbouring farm spray drift etc. That said, it did contain a fair proportion of wood chippings, along with two half bricks, a plastic bottle, and a couple of large stones in three bags I received. These include nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, making this material ideal for use as a soil conditioner, dressing and mulch in a wide range of planting applications but especially for use on rose beds. The pallet was well packaged and even protected against weather / water ingress, the bags themselves are ideal for purpose when compared against other mediums , the manure looks the business and seems to go a long way !Specifications – Small apply to shoulder height from 24" (60cm) to 35" (90cm); Medium apply to shoulder height from 35" (90cm) to 51" (130cm); Large apply to shoulder height over 51"(130cm). For general use, we recommend spreading a 50mm layer of horse manure over the area to be treated, before forking or rotavating it into the soil. A: To obtain free farmyard manure, you can reach out to local farms, stables, riding centers, and community gardens to see if they have any excess manure they are willing to give away. Horse Manure has already been rotted down and will improve the soil almost immediately, however as it continues to breakdown, it will further improve the nutrients and structure of your soil.
