Opening with an original style of contents page, consisting of a world map with countries labelled with the pages where information can be found, the atlas is divided into eight sections, looking at countries within each continent plus the Arctic and Antarctica. Much more than an ordinary atlas, this book of maps is a visual feast for readers of all ages, with lavishly drawn illustrations from the incomparable Mizielinskis.

From time to time, we would like to keep you up to date with news about Beyond the Stork and special offers. This book of maps is a visual feast for readers of all ages, with lavishly drawn illustrations from the incomparable Mizielinskis. The countries are illustrated with animals - both current and prehistoric - which makes retention of facts so much easier. This book would have been very welcome at my school last term when Iceland was included in the Year 1 topic of Around the World! To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. If you love BIG books and clear informative maps, then this is the book for you , and for your grandchildren!

Released to mark the 10th anniversary of the very first edition, this book features 16 brand new maps and has new material on every page. This book is a celebration of the world, from its immense mountains to its tiny insects - and everything in between! I like the way that the European section travels southwards from Iceland, which means that countries such as Croatia and Romania are given equal space alongside the perhaps more familiar France and Spain. Bursting with fascinating facts and puzzles from around the world, it offers hours of entertainment to young adventurers. All used books might have various degrees of writing, highliting and wear and tear and possibly be an ex-library with the usual stickers and stamps. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. I bought this book for my husband, he loves maps and has travelled extensively, I know that he will love it and he will also enjoy showing it to our grandchildren. While we have a lot of books in our house, we realised recently that we didn't have a lot of reference books.

Es un libro hermoso, las ilustraciones son de lo más lindas y tiene muchísima información divertida hasta para adultos. What makes Maps so special, aside from its fantastic and unique illustrations and fun and quirky facts, is the sheer atmosphere it creates and the feeling of discovery you get from turning its pages. With so much to see this book would make a lovely Christmas gift and will certainly keep everyone entertained after Christmas lunch! Sure enough, it's a huge book that has little to no chance of ever fitting on a bookshelf and it is full of facts beautifully presented. You can learn so much from this amazing book, about the famous places, geography, cultural ways, animals, food.

Dust Jackets are not guaranteed and when still present, they will have various degrees of tear and damage.
