About this deal

Little Brown, USA, 2005, hardcover, 1st edition, 1st printing, fine book in a fine jacket, not remaindered, bookclub or library, clean and unmarked, unclipped jacket. When Max meets up with the rest of the flock they start to travel to the school again and end up getting attacked by the Erasers.

After finishing it a few minutes ago, I have to say it stacks up to what I thought it was back in the day.

Each member of this group has been created with super-human abilities like great speed, strength, physic powers, and flight. Martinez leads the Flock to a remote island where they will be safe from the approaching apocalypse. All the way back in 2007, I discovered the Alex Rider series by listening to an audiobook version of the first book, Stormbreaker. It seemed a little too impossible the way the characters super-human talents showed up right when they needed them.

Patterson didn't only place small cliffhangers at the end of the chapters, he added a huge one for the next (few? Then something at the end happened that made my stomach curl and completely killed what little of the book I enjoyed. Government officials ask the Flock to help a team of scientists study pollution levels in the oceans around Antarctica.Max and Fang's teenage daughter, who now goes by the name Hawk, lives in the post-apocalyptic "City of the Dead. Fang and Nudge begin flying around to find food and look for signs of Max, but stop in Tipisco to look for Nudge’s mother. But they don't know where they come from, who's hunting them, why they are different from all other humans. And the end is a huge cliffhanger, making me sure that I'm going to attack the next book right away!

I recommend this book to anyone (preferably over 8 or 9 as of some mildly strong language) with a big imagination. Although this novel is for younger readers any adult who loves the world of fantasy will enjoy this,(I know I did). Worse than the one-dimensional characters and the freakishly awful writing are the countless pages devoted entirely to filler. p>The data controller is Headline Publishing Group Limited. This is a James Patterson story for young adults and it is related to the James Patterson adult fiction novel "When the Wind Blows". This is my first James Patterson, so I'm not entirely sure about his writing style, but I guess the way he's written this book was as if it was the protagonist. It may seem like a dream come true to some, but their lives can morph into a living nightmare at any time.
